DOMAIN NAME

Public network services

In Tower Networking Inc., A service is represented by a domain name. A service can be seen as a use provider. A service provides uses under a domain name. Usually, enterprise users will provide services. The following is a behavior insight from an enterprise user, which lists the services it provides along with their corresponding domain names.

To use a service, a consumer performs DNS lookup of the domain names they wish to visit to get a destination logical address. They then attempt to consume from the destination to satisfy their needs.

Hosting your own services

It is possible that there are unfulfilled needs on the consumers. This happens when there are no equivalent enterprise users which provides the service that can satisfy a particular need. When this happens, it will show up in the Issues and Complaints section of the user's detailed view in the Surveyor application. The example below shows that the user blond-shrimp cannot find any suitable services for their needs of talk to someone online.

In this case, it may be necessary to host your own service to fill the void. This can be done using the Registry application. When you host your own services, a pay per use fee may be charged to consumers. This means that whenever your service is chosen for consumption, and it is successfully visited and consumed, the consumer pays you a fee.

While this may be a good way to boost your income, if you are hosting services that your enterprise users are also hosting, it means you are competing with them for users, which may lower their satiety.
